Marius joined Southern Right Capital in 2024.
He was previously the co-founder/CIO/CEO of Empiric Capital, a systematic global equities investment firm regulated in the UK and South Africa.
Marius has 23 years of experience in long-only/hedge/multi-asset investment management, and technology sectors.
In 2008 Marius joined Efficient Select, a boutique asset manager in South Africa, ultimately ending as an equity portfolio manager for their multi-asset and risk premia funds.
He started his career as a R&D engineer in 2001, at Omnipless Antenna Systems (Cobham group company) in Cape Town, South Africa.
Marius is a CFA Charterholder with a Masters degree in engineering ( Electric & Electronic ) from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
